I agree. If in the future I have the choice of not owning the full platform and its infrastructure in heavy way, I would not do. Previous jobs always worked with mostly managed resources. It was much more productive and we needed less people to deliver (at a higher cost). But, Im still in doubt if the value paid versus value added of a totally owned data platform is worthy.
